Door weight drives spring selection
The spring is the counterbalance for the door. A larger or heavier door needs a different spring than a light single door. Insulation, windows, reinforcement and previous panel repairs can all change the weight.
Wire diameter, inside diameter and spring length work together. Choosing one dimension by appearance is not enough. The repaired door should balance after installation; that result is the proof that the spring selection fits the system.
