Garage Door Fix has earned company-wide Great Place To Work® Certification™ in Canada for October 2026–October 2027. Every team member participated in the assessment, and the company scored 99.9%. The recognition comes from employee feedback about working here. It is separate from our customer reviews or any award for garage door repairs.
That distinction matters. A service call may end with one technician in a customer's driveway, but it starts with people answering phones, making room in the schedule, stocking parts, and helping each other get the details right. This badge belongs to that team. Our employees did the talking, not our marketing department.

What the certification measures
Great Place To Work Canada says its certification process begins with employee feedback collected through the Trust Index™ Survey. It asks people about their experience at work, including trust, respect, and camaraderie. The result is employer recognition, not a customer-service ranking.
Stan and Marta started Garage Door Fix in Calgary in 2019. The company has grown, but the work still comes down to people: an office team that listens, technicians who know the equipment, and colleagues willing to help when the day changes on them. We are proud that employees' own feedback earned this recognition. We also know a badge is a snapshot, not permission to stop listening.

The survey result we keep coming back to
The 99.9% company score tells one part of the story. A separate result in the 2026 Great Place To Work Trust Index® Survey graphic stood out to us: 100% of surveyed employees said that when you join the company, you are made to feel welcome. That 100% result belongs to one statement about welcoming new employees. It is not the company-wide score, and it does not mean every person rated every part of the company perfectly.
One survey question, not the overall score
100% felt welcomed
The welcome result is specific to new employees being made to feel welcome. The separate company score is 99.9%.
A first week in this trade can be intimidating. An office hire is learning customers' needs, technicians' routes, and the difference between a promise and an estimate. A new technician is learning the company's way of explaining repairs and working safely around heavy doors and wound springs. Nobody should have to pretend they know everything on day one. Being able to ask questions is where good work starts. That survey result tells us what to protect as we grow.
The people behind a Garage Door Fix appointment
Customers usually meet one technician. They may never meet the person who answered the phone, sorted out the schedule, or made sure the right parts were on the truck. We see all of that work. If the first conversation is clear and the technician has the information they need, the visit goes better for everyone.
Our company has always put a lot of weight on straightforward pricing and on sending our own team to the job. Those choices are visible to customers. The less visible part is the workplace behind them: people who can speak up when something does not make sense, help a colleague, and take responsibility for a problem. Certification does not prove that every repair is perfect. It does give us a reason to thank the employees who make this company worth calling.
Two ways to judge us, both worth checking
This recognition is company-wide: every Garage Door Fix team member took part. It reflects the people behind all of our operations. Customer reviews are a different source of evidence. We want people to see both sides of the business clearly.

The certification recognizes our company as a workplace. The Google profiles show what customers say about service in each city. They answer different questions, and both are worth checking before you call.
To our team
Thank you. This recognition comes from what you told Great Place To Work about working here, and from what you do for each other between the calls and appointments customers see. We'll keep asking where the workday can be better. The badge is dated October 2026–October 2027. Keeping the kind of workplace it represents takes longer than that.
